Galway receives Discover the Origin and the Wines of Burgundy next Monday

Discover the Origin began last month at the Westin Hotel in Dublin. It was great and the wines were exceptional.        Next Monday we're in Galway!
It's a fascinating roadshow well worth attending. I am the wine lecturer on behalf of the Wines of Burgundy and Aoife Carrigy presents the food side. If you don't follow Aoife's blog, Holy Mackerel then I recommend you have a look see.

Besides the quality of the expert speakers though, what is Discover the Origin?

‘Discover the Origin’ is an established European Union campaign designed to raise awareness around five Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) products:

Burgundy Wines
Parma Ham
Douro Wines
Parmigiano Reggiano Cheese
Port Wines

Each product in the Discover the Origin campaign is unique to the region in which it is produced
– a gastro destination – and celebrated the world over for its flavours, history and traditions.
